Founded in 1986 by a collaboration of dedicated Volkswagen enthusiasts, the June Jitter Bug has continued to grow in size and popularity into becoming the largest VW Show in Ontario. For years the members of the Niagara Volks Folks car club have put in countless hours in preparation for this show. In 2006 the show was taken over and headed by the staff at John's Bug Shop. Since the beginning this show has been run non-profit and relies on donations from dedicated sponsors. As well, the show has always had a food drive for many different food banks. Our main goal is to provide a venue for Volkswagen Car Show enthusiasts of all ages. This year the June Jitter Bug is going to be getting some help from THEBUGNUT.com and Rood's Media in an effort to add some new life into the show.

When we first fixed up this Bug in 1996 we knew it already had some rough patches that were repaired at some point in the late 80's. Our initial intention with the car was to just fix it up and get it on the road. So because of that, and my lack of skills at the time, all I could do was cover up any really bad spots with some galvanized sheet metal, pop rivets, expansion foam, undercoating, and some amazing body filler work. I have to admin that I was impressed by the end result at the time but there was no way to was going to last forever. Fast forward 20+ years and here we are... finally fixing all those problem areas the way it should have been done the first time.
